FROM BUDAPEST TO SHANGHAI 

What’s up everybody!

Wow, it’s been a while since i Updated my blog. The other day a teenage girl came up to me in the subway and asked me why my blog was on ice and why I haven’t released any more new songs. To tell the truth, I’ve been busy as hell puttin together my new tracks in the lab, discovering new sounds and dealing with the life outside the music. BUT, I’m not gon’ lie, some days I’ve actually had the time to blog, but I just been too tired to create a post. 

Anyways, I hope yall had a great summer with a lot of new good memories to look back on. My summer was FANTASTIC. I’ve done and experienced so many new things this summer I don’t even know where to start. So many new happenings since the last time I blogged. 

Budapest (Hungary)

In late July We were going to perform at this big big festival in Budapest in Hungary.The line-up included; Akon, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Def Squad, Chuckie and many more. I was really excited about it. But shortly before the festival we found out that the whole festival had been cancelled. A shame though, but that didn’t stop us from travelling. I had never been to Hungary before and I had heard so many great things about Budapest, so instead of cancelling our flight tickets, we headed to Budapest for a 2 days holiday. July 28th me, Al Azif and Jaffar packed our bags and flew to Budapest. 

The whole trip was really awesome and we all realized it was something we all needed. Working long days, sometimes you forget how important it is to take some time off and just relax your mind. In Budapest we lived at a nice hotel that was located near the Donau river. Our hotel had so many good features; Spa,big swimming pools, massage, parks, nice restauarants, a gym, good service… you name it. To get the most of the trip, we did as many things as we could and used our time to discover this beautiful City. 

EXPO 2010 Shanghai (China)

Coming home from Budapest i had to run some errands and clean up my crib quick ‘cause 2 days later I was going to China with the homie Dogge Doggelito to perform with him in the Swedish pavilion at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai. I did all my tasks and went straight to the studio with Al Azif to work on some new stuff. I did a track for my EP and did another one for the homie K.J´s upcoming mixtape “Behind The Keys” which will drop soon. That night me and Al was up all night just working and vibin with different songs. The day after I was back at the Arlanda airport, ready to go to China. I was really excited about this trip. I had always wanted to go to China, ever since I was a little kid, and now it was finally time to travel there. We were going to fly to Helsinki (Finland) and from there take the transer flight to Shanghai. 

Shortly after the departure in Helsinki I fell asleep and when I woke up, I realized I had been asleep for 5 hours. The remaining time I watched 2 good movies and when we arrived, the 12,5 hours flight felt like 4 hours. 

Upon arrival the sun was shining and I felt rested. Coming out of the airport I felt this incredible heat in my face as I was sweating like I had ran a couple of miles. I’M TELLIN YOU THE WEATHER WAS HOT HOT HOT!!! I dont remember what the temperature was,but I hadn’t felt that type of heat since 1999 when I was in Miami. We lived in a neighbourhood located near the EXPO area and We were there to do 3 shows a day for 2 weeks at the Swedish Pavilion. We arrived on a monday and on the tuesday we started doing shows. 

I remember entering the The EXPO area for the first time. I went WOW! I had never seen anything like that before. It was so BIG and fascinating. Over 170 countries had a pavilion there and people had came from all over the world to participate in this fantastic Gathering of the World Cultures. This was a whole new experience for me. 

I remember before going on stage for the first show, the weather was so hot that my pants was all wet with sweat. I was sweating like I was in the gym running on the treadmill. We did 3 shows a day (tuesday to sunday) and on mondays we had the day off.  

The city of Shanghai was very beautiful and we went to many cool places,among them…Nanjing Road, The Bund, The Huangpu River, The oriental Pearl tower. I was fascinated by the the architecture of the city, especially at nights when the buildings, scyscrapers and bridges were illuminated with bright colorful neon lights. It was so cool! One thing I loved about the city of Shanghai was the good vibe. Everywhere we went, the atmosphere was filled with positivity and people were so friendly and helpful. 

It was fun all the way and we all had a great time during our stay.
